Qualification : Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering from the Universities in Kerala or its equivalent qualification.

Qualification : Degree in Civil Engineering from the Universities in Kerala or its equivalent qualification

Sub – Engineer (Electrical)
Qualification : Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering of the University of Kerala or a Diploma recognized as equivalent thereto.

Age Limit : Candidates should have completed eighteen years and should not have completed twenty four years of age as on the date of the notification. Relaxation of one year in the upper age limit shall be given to those who have represented India and participated in International competitions.

Kerala State Electricity Board commenced functioning on 31-3-1957 After Noon as per order no. EL1-6475/56/PW dated 7-3-1957 of the Kerala State Government. It had 5 members with Sri K P Sreedharan Nair as Chairman. All the staff belonging to the erstwhile Electricity Department was transferred to the Board. The 'Board' consisting of the Chairman and the Members is the Supreme Governing Body.
